For Buyiswa, the kitchen isn't simply where she works it's her happy place. A place where passion meets discipline, and where long hours and the challenge of managing different personalities have helped shape her into the leader she is today.

Through every challenge, she has grown more resilient, supported by Mun Manal and the wider Ukkō team who have been part of her journey from the beginning.

This is more than a job. It's a passion, a journey and a story of what can happen when people are given the space and support to grow.

From waiter to Senior Manager, Percy Nyama’s journey is a story of passion, dedication and continuous growth.

His career in hospitality began on the floor as a waiter, before progressing to Head Waiter and ultimately becoming part of the strong management team that leads Ukkō today.

Fuelled by a fascination with food and the unique way it brings people together, Percy has built his career around creating exceptional hospitality experiences. His approach is about doing things differently, constantly striving for excellence, paying meticulous attention to every detail and delivering exceptional customer service.

For Percy, hospitality is about more than what happens at the table. It’s about ensuring every guest feels valued, every detail is considered and every person who walks through Ukkō’s doors leaves with amazing memories.

Having been part of Ukkō since its inception, Percy hasn’t simply witnessed the journey, he has grown alongside it. Through every new challenge and every stage of Ukkō’s evolution, he has continued to learn, lead and elevate his craft.

Today, as Senior Manager, Percy’s journey is a reminder that excellence is built through passion, consistency and a commitment to always finding ways to do better.
