Mandela Family Restaurant situated right in the heart of Soweto, opposite The Nelson Mandela National Museum known as “Mandela House” in the historical street of Vilakazi, is where you live find us. In close reach of all the Soweto History of the world famous street.

Mandela Family Restaurant was the original place where Our Mother Of The Nation, Mam Winnie Madikizela-Mandela hosted and cooked for soldiers and Comrades of the struggle, where they convened for their secret meetings or were in transit. Our Restaurant is sure to give you a nostalgic dining experience boasting our fallen heros and heroines favourite dishes.

The restaurant serves African cuisine buffet and a local favourite braaivleis, a Menu that caters for all functions. Prepared by World renowned Chef Jean Pierre Akamby Houndeton who has 20 years experience in the hospitality industry and local Chef Esther Khoza renowned for her delicious flavour combination and using seasonal and organic produce that will surely keep you coming back for more wholesome goodness
