For a month I have been advertising Pastry Boxes that I will be selling this weekend. Today was a shocker because I've received 5 cancelations so what I thought would be 4 boxes left to sale is now 9 boxes left to sale.

I've taken the weekend off work to sale the boxes so if you are or know anyone that's interested in a box drop me a whatsapp at 072 428 2543. The pick up is from my place in Claremont.

Greetings Cape Town!

On the 30th of May 2026 I'll be selling Pastry Boxes from my home. My first pastry box was August 2020 but why did I start it.

While we were going up and down level restrictions like a gladiator game show ,I noticed plenty High Tea spots where still closed and so many people where itching to go outside. I decided to put together a pastry box and bring the "High Tea" experience to the homes. The pandemic taught me a lot about the importance of community. The purpose of the Pastry Box was my way of reminding people there is still hope and never stop celebrating the small/big moments of life. I specifically priced the boxes to include everyone doesn't matter where you are in life.

Over 6 years the Pastry Boxes evolved into so many avenues, office events, birthdays, weddings, picnics, Christmas get together .... and the list goes on.

I'm a Pastry Chef with a brain and journal full of ideas in a city that's my oyster and do I the best with what I have. As I prepare for the next Pastry Box I would like to thank everyone who has watched me persevere and evolve, your support has helped me through the ups and downs. As a black person in this industry, I'm encouraged to see that I can inspire people and remind people "its not about colour, it's about quality, excellence and growth". I've posted pics of some of the boxes over 6 years.

Greetings Cape Town

What am I up to on this rainy day? I am working at Jarryds however my pastries will be available at The Mowbray Market (location on the menu). Mthoko a incredible person will be selling my pastries and has been since I started working full time.

The Favourites are available, Pain au chocolat, pasteis de nata, butternut quiche, oreo brownies etc.

NOTE: The market is indoors so the rain won't affect the event.

Market Update : Wine Festival and Market Day at The Wild Fig Restaurant

Ends at 3pm (still time)

Pastries are still available. Good turnout, the market and the wine Festival are in two separate locations within the same space so the foot traffic is bouncing between the two. Great vibe, highly recommend pulling up if you haven't.

Support the local vendors, they are inspiring, hardworking and resilient.

Good morning

It's my day off today and I decided to spend it selling pastries at a market.

Today I'm at the Wine festival at The Wild Fig Restaurant in Observatory. Today's menu is simple,

*Pasteis de nata
* Spinach & Feta Danish Pastry
*Blueberry Cheesecake Muffins with lemon curd (Yes you read that right)

I am here until 3pm so pop in, the weather is great.

Greetings Cape Town!

My pastries will be available at The Mowbray Market tomorrow from 10am - 2pm. A great gentleman by the name of Mtho will be selling on my behalf. He has been selling my pastries since last year and he's done an incredible job.

Greetings folks

I'm back!!!

This Saturday I will be participating as one of the vendors at The Greek Festival at the Hellenic Hall (24 Bay Road) in Green Point. I took the Saturday off from work to be there physically. I havent been at a market since I started work as Pastry Chef at Jarryds in October 2025. The team has been supportive and encouraging.

I have attached the menu BUT what should you look out for?

Spinach & Feta Croissant Pastry.
The breakdown
Handmade rolled croissant dough baked with Spinach, spring onion, caramelized onions, feta & matured cheddar.

It's great to be outside again. It's happening this weekend.

Christmas Box Year 6 complete. I started these boxes December 2020 and have kept the tradition going. Thank you all for the support. 40 boxes put together this year. Look forward to doing this again December 2026.

Greetings folks

All is well on my side as Pastry Chef at Jarryds Sea Point.

I have one market left and a one sale on Christmas Day. This Saturday my pastries will be available at St.Thomas Church in Rondebosch. My homemade mince pies will be available for sale among other pastries.

The Christmas boxes which I'm selling on Christmas day have done pretty well. They sold out yesterday but I've an extra 10 for anyone still interested.

The Christmas Pastry Boxes are still available. This is my 6th year doing the boxes and I enjoy putting them together.

This Saturday my pastries will be sold at the Mowbray Market. While I'll be working at Jarryds Sea Point, Mtho my brilliant salesman will look after you.

This is the first Market where my popular Christmas Mince make an appearance and will do so until Christmas. Other classics like pasteis de nata, spinach feta quiches as well as a moist Chocolate Cake will be available.

Two places, great pastries.

Two things are happening today, I'm currently at Jarryds cooking up incredible pastries and The St. Thomas Family Market in Rondebosch will be underway from 9am to 1pm where Mthokozisi will be selling my pastries.

If you in the Sea Point area pop in and try the incredible Burnt leek, mushroom & gruyere Danish or a warm glazed Cinnabon among others.

If you in the Rondebosch area, the menu is simple and classic, Pain au chocolat, spinach feta quiche, pasteis de nata and red velvet cake slices.
