One of the strangest situations I’ve ever encountered through the many years of worldwide ministry involve a young Philippine boy name Cornelio who was about 12 years of age. It seems that he had an unusual habit of disappearing into thin air. He could be sitting in the dining room with family and simply disappear. Not a door or window would move. At other times, he would be playing with his brothers and sisters in the front room, suddenly they would cry, “Cornelio is gone!”
At school one day, he disappeared while writing on the blackboard. I have a testimony from the school teacher about it. It’s so alarmed and frightened her that she suffered a nervous breakdown and never sufficiently recovered to teach school again. The strange disappearances caused the family much consternation. They were members of the Roman Catholic Church and had no idea what to do about these occurrences.
Together with their minister, and his parents they brought the boy to my revival meetings in Manila. When they describe the situation to me, I immediately recognize the satanic power involved. When I looked directly into his eyes, I could see that he was demon possessed. I laid my hands on him and pray to God to break the power that this evil spirit had on his life. Also, I prayed for his salvation. After praying for his deliverance, I was exhausted physically; but I was sure that God had answered my prayer. From that moment forward, the boy never disappeared again.
Sometime later Cornelio told me he had been walking across the field on his way home from school when he saw a girl in a white dress. She was very pretty with beautiful long hair. She came up to him, smile, and said, “Please go for a walk with me.” He said they spent much time together. Whenever she touched him, both of them would be invisible.
