Please note that we have with a sad note had to close down the Meander Quilters' Guild. We have only a few regulars attending however we will still meet at Classic Cafe on the last Thursday afternoon of each month, starting Jan 2025. Should you be interested in attending, please pop in.

A New Year is upon us and we really would love to extend our reach to ladies who are interested in Quilting. If you can use a needle and thread, then you can sew and make a quilt. A basic sewing machine would obviously speed up the process, but many quilts can be hand sewn, this being very therapeutic as well. We welcome experienced and newbies. We meet at Cafe Classic at Fairways on Main centre on the last Thursday afternoon of every month. We have a well stocked library to inspire you on your journey of mastering such a satisfying hobby. We are also very privileged this year to have our SA Quilt Festival in Pietermaritzburg mid year, to feed your fabric fantasies.

We are a small guild operating in Howick KZN, South Africa. Our August meeting had ladies showing the progress that has been made on our challenge this year. Each month a block is decided upon by our Chairlady which we need to incorporate it into our quilts. This month was the last block nominated and quilts are needed to be completed for our end of year meeting in November 2023. Great progress has been made. Attached are some quilts that were also shown in the 'Show and Tell'. Showing others our work, encourages and inspires us. A Great afternoon. We welcome any new members.

The time has come to start our monthly meetings in Howick, KZN, South Africa. It has been 2 years since we all met and looking forward to seeing everyone again. Any newcomers living in the area are welcome to join us on Wednesday afternoon 2nd March 2022 at St Luke's Church at 2pm for about 2 hours, we would love to grow the quilting community.
