I think I’ve just created my new favourite flavours… Raspberry Cheesecake & Vanilla.

The Raspberry Cheesecake… real raspberries churned into a velvety cheesecake base, giving you a perfect balance of tangy, creamy and indulgent.

The Vanilla… Silky, pure comfort — rich, custardy, and made with real vanilla.

Both were crafted this morning using today’s fresh milk and cream from my beloved Jersey cows, Mary and Beaulah.

🍋 Lemon Sorbet — The Scoop That Started It All! 🍋

It all began at the Bathurst Country Affair, where we wandered into a little gelato shop run by an Italian man. He was hosting a “Guess the Flavour” competition — and that’s where I tasted the most unforgettable lemon sorbet. Simple, pure, and absolutely delicious.

That single scoop sparked an idea… and soon after, FOMO Gelato was born! 🍦

With my background as a chef (from many moons ago 😉), and our own Jersey cows, British Alpine goats, and fruit orchard here in the Karoo, it just made sense to turn our farm’s goodness into something truly special.

Now it’s become a family affair — creating small-batch gelato and sorbet that capture the fresh, honest flavours of the Karoo.

We’re so excited to introduce Karoo Ruby, our debut FOMO Gelato flavour made from the pomegranates we grow right here on our farm. 🍎

Pomegranates absolutely love the Karoo — the hot days, cool nights, and dry air help the fruit develop its deep ruby colour and intense, tangy sweetness. Each one is handpicked, juiced, and blended into creamy Jersey cow and British Alpine goat milk for the perfect farm-crafted indulgence.

Every scoop is a little taste of Karoo sunshine — smooth, refreshing, and just the right balance of tart and sweet. ☀️

Here on our family farm, gelato isn’t just dessert — it’s a celebration of everything homegrown and handmade. Every scoop begins right here, where our Jersey cows and British Alpine goats provide the rich, creamy milk and fresh cream that form the heart of our gelato. 🐄🐐

Our small orchard gives us the freshest seasonal fruit — from fragrant lemons and sweet oranges to pomegranates bursting with flavour and peaches and plums — while our ducks and free-range hens gift us golden-yolked eggs that make each batch velvety and delicious. 🥚🍊

We infuse our creations with a touch of the Karoo veld, using wild botanicals like veld rosemary for a uniquely local Karoo flavour that can’t be found anywhere else. 🌾

At FOMO Gelato, every flavour tells our story — one of passion, purity, and place.
