Youth Day Food Drive – Let’s Feed Hope, Fill Hearts 💛

This 16th June, Youth Day, we’re coming together in Scottsdene Kraaifontein to serve warm, nourishing meals to 800+ people in need.

It’s more than food. It’s dignity. It’s hope. It’s saying _“You are seen. You are not alone.”_

On the menu: Samp & Bean, Meat Soup, fresh bread, and sweet *mini doughnuts* to bring a little joy.
We’ll also share in prayer, praise and worship to nourish the spirit.

Candice Thornton has been described as the sultry, velvety jazz vocalist of her generation. Starting her career in jazz at high school from the age of 16 as the main vocalist of the jazz band, she went on to win Best Jazz Vocalist at the Open Mic Jazz Competition hosted by GrandWest Casino at the age of 22.
Candice has shared the stage with international artists such as Jonathan Butler, Kirk Whalum, Tevin Campbell, Karyn White, and Judy Boucher, while also working alongside local favourites including Salome, Alistair Izobell, Chad Saaiman, Loukmaan Adams, and Emo Adams.
She also founded her very own Vocal Academy and lectured at Cape Music Institute from 2020 to 2022, teaching performance, vocal training, ensemble, and songwriting.
