We have some exciting news from Protea Hotel Durbanville, managed by BON Hotels.

Please join us in welcoming Dominique van Wezop as our new General Manager, who officially joined the team on 1 June 2026.

Dominique brings over two decades of hospitality experience to the role, from reservations and revenue management through to operations, food and beverage, and hotel openings. She has worked her way through virtually every corner of the industry, and that depth shows in how she leads. Service-driven, commercially sharp, and genuinely people-focused, Dominique is exactly the kind of GM who makes a hotel feel like it’s firing on all cylinders.

We're proud to have her at the helm in Durbanville, and we know she's going to make her mark – on the hotel, and on the community around it.

We’ve partnered with Nehemiah Children’s Safe House in Cape Town to make sure no child faces the cold without what they need.

Here’s how you can do a good deed:
🧤 Donate good quality second-hand kids’ clothing, like jackets, hoodies, pants, and thermals
🧣 Donate new winter essentials, such as beanies, socks, gloves, and blankets
🛍️ Donate a retail voucher or monetary contribution
