Comments: Chose the banana this time. A nice easy BBQ. 2 ribs was a very nice touch, but the Chop suey let it down, was simply rice noodles- nothing else. I was offered a choice of rice or banana which was nice. Consistancy is a high score this time due to having the BBQ twice over 3 weeks and being nearly the same offering and taste.

Comments The BBQ marinade is the best, the deep rich teriyaki … yes!!! Do yourself the pleasure and eat the chicken first and dump the potato in the marinade.. Great job. This is a simple BBQ, but very well done, a high score..

We know it's not BBQ, but we are having to work long hours on Saturdays, which we all know is the bbq day.
Nachos:
Easy to make difficult to perfect.
Meat, cheese, corn chips... Not hard right...
Wrong... Highly disappoint and to be honest made me a little angry, don't need to say much, look at that picture, 1000 words.

Comments: These guys are 100% committed to roadside bbq. I pass by every day at 7:30am and the bbq is already getting primed, going quite often till 10pm or later, very impressive stuff. How could you not give it a try? This bbq was different in the way it didn’t bother with a salad and simply concentrated on what it was good at, meat. The chicken was perfectly cooked, the marinade was different and delicious, and there was a truckload of both. They were happy for me to swap the P**i on offer for yet more chicken, which once again was both good for ratings and my arteries. Just imagine in a perfect world, with a bit of potato salad or good coleslaw, we might just have a new bbq leader..

Comments: "A good old fashioned family BBQ experience. Everyone was out there, mum, dad, the kids, uncles. Everyone thoroughly enjoying the simple the simple pleasure that is road-side BBQ. Although the basic ingredients were nothing out of the box, what was there was very well done. Unfortunately this would have been a 5 or 6 tala BBQ a couple of years ago (and a good one) but roadside BBQ simply seems to be getting more expensive. P**i was on the menu but they were more than happy to swap it out for an extra piece of chicken or sausage, which won back the points lost for offering it.
Side Note: I drove hungrily around the whole island that day and surprisingly this was the only BBQ open anywhere. So I know that ‘Originality’ isn’t a category, but if it was these guys would have received a 9. Keep pushing the envelope people…

Comments: This was a tasty BBQ and a solid effort. Everything was cooked well, the ‘thousand island’ dressing turned an average coleslaw into a thing of beauty, and the family vibe was pleasant. The proprietor of the BBQ said the sausages were from American Samoa, which explains why everyone else isn’t using them (as I said, they were good). Just 1 more piece of chicken, or double the coleslaw, and this would have been a very high rating BBQ indeed.

Comments: THE KING IS DEAD….
A fall of 3 whole points for the now former king of Roadside BBQ. We were very disappointed. The all important sign was gone, the person taking the order basically was inconvenienced by my presence. I'm not sure what has happened? Has this shop/BBQ been sold? Quality was down across the board, but at least there was a lot of shredded carrot.

Comments: We really wanted to go back to this one and try it again, the price was up (double in fact) and the quality was way down. We hate branding anything as the worst, but this has to be done here. We are disappointed the owners decided to up the price and sell very poor BBQ.

You thought it couldn't get worse?
A lazy, horrible experience.
We tried this one a few weeks back, didn't get a picture. This time, doubled in price and halved in BBQ goodness.

Again, we are sorry this has taken so long. Not back with a splash, but we are trying everything.

Comments: Chicken was on point, but unfortunately the sosisi had barely touched a hotplate, and the bananas tasted very strange indeed. Nice sapasui though. I had this bbq months ago and it was one of the best in town, totally different this time and not anywhere near as good.
