This week was filled with so many happy faces. The children at the Caribbean Center for Boys & Girls Of The Virgin Islands Summer Camp, located at the Ruby M. Rouse Housing Community and the children at the Watch Me Grow Academy LLC in Barren Spot had a sweet treat but it didn’t end there.

While on site a well known individual by the name of Leroy was passing by and saw the Armstrong Ice Cream trailer and asked the Unit Director Mrs. James is that Armstrong Ice Cream from F’sted? She replied and said yes!

Leroy is also known as the NEWSPAPER MAN who resides in the Christiansted area ALL his life, couldn’t believe his eyes. He gave Mrs. James a full story how he knows about Armstrong Ice Cream from listening to the Mario Moorehead Radio show.

He told Mrs. James he had never tasted Armstrong Ice Cream and would love to get a taste. We were touched just hearing this. Mrs. James decided to give up her ice cream so Leroy can get it in which we objected and told her bring Leroy to get his special treat.

Mrs. James returned with Leroy who was very shy and he gave us his version also of how he knows about Armstrong’s Ice Cream. He had so many flavors to choose from but he settled for Chocolate. He was so grateful he held his ice cream with such grip and said he’ll eat it after his dinner.

Special Thanks and Big up to Mr. Kai Jackson of KJ Trucking & Water Delivery Service for being the generous donor of giving this special sweet treat to many young children and organizations in this community for a few years now. Mr. Jackson sponsored over one hundred plus individuals who were campers, counselors, and staff. And to include Leroy The Newspaper Man who was just passing by.

Leroy will now have his story to tell Mario about his first taste of Armstrong’s Ice Cream.
