Westville Fire Department

Yesterday evening we responded to a two car MVA in the Watts community to assist the Watts Fire Department. We worked with Watts Fd, ACEMS, the Adair County Sheriff’s Office, Oklahoma Highway Patrol, and BRUNER’s Towing and Recovery. Thankfully everyone was transported safely from the scene!

That’s a wrap on summer slam! 110 racks of ribs, 6 pork butts, and 5 sticks of bologna smoked in 2 days. We want to say thank you to the community for supporting us and buying us out of meat! We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did. If we rest for 12 months we might have the energy to try it again! Thank you from Westville Fire!

Fire engines sure have changed since 1965 when Westville bought the “City Engine.” If it could tell stories, they’d be interesting to say the least. Sometimes we look back at old equipment and think, gosh I’m glad we’re not in that anymore. However, we would’ve liked the chance to ride the tailboard on that one when it was new. There’s a lot of changes and history in this picture, and we want to say thank you to the men, women, and families that have made Westville Fire Department possible!
