I'm celebrating today! Six years ago today, I officially launched The Organizing Boss.

After 18 years in an office, I needed something different. I needed autonomy, variety, flexibility. I needed something that was mine.

When I started my business, I knew there would be demand for it; I knew I loved organizing; and I knew I wanted to work for myself. I simply wanted to build a business around organizing because it satisfied what I personally was looking for.

What I didn't expect was how much I would actually love helping people in this specific way!

The best part of these 6 years hasn't been the organized spaces (though those are pretty satisfying). It's been the people. The repeat clients who come back because they know we're going to provide awesome service. The families who feel relief when their home finally works for their life. The community in DC that's supported this dream.

I've learned so much about organizing and running a business. I've felt every emotion from scared sh*tless to wild excitement, from heartbreak to pure joy. But most importantly, I've learned that doing something you love, with people you genuinely want to help, changes everything.

So today, I'm grateful. I'm grateful for the clients who trusted me with their homes and their peace of mind. For the team that's grown around me. For the freedom to build something that feels like me.

Here's to 6 years. And to whatever comes next!

Are you a collector?

This client has thousands of basketball and football cards, and hundreds of those are graded. The collection is AMAZING.

However, he can't find what he owns because all his cards were simply filed in boxes with no rhyme or reason.

This is a work in progress, but we're slowly getting there.

Because of a client's understanding and flexibility, I get to take off this Labor Day!

Funny story, I recently messed up my calendar and the client's selected day I was traveling. So, I offered a client a session today. His response: "No, let's find another day. No one wants to work on a holiday, especially not one celebrating our labor."

Touché, Mr. Client, touché.
