Happy Sunday, everyone!!

I just want to hop on here and say THANK YOU SO MUCH for all the love and support yesterday! We’re truly grateful for every single person who stopped by, made a purchase, said hello or simply showed us some love.

I also got the chance to meet some AMAZING vendors and I loved getting to chat with a few of you about all things sourdough baking! 😄🍞 There’s just something so fun about talking sourdough with people who are just as curious (or obsessed 😂) as I am!

Hi Crust & Crave Fam!! 🥰

Happy Sunday!! 🤗

Okay… so I’ve had quite a few of you lovelies ask me if I teach sourdough baking classes.

And my answer has ALWAYS been… NO.

Why?

Because apparently I’m a sourdough rebel 🤣🤣

When I first started baking sourdough, I tried to follow ALL. THE. RULES. 👩🏻‍🍳📋

Feed your starter at this time.
Use this flour.
Stretch & fold exactly 4,739 times.
Bulk ferment for exactly 6 hours, 32 minutes and 17 seconds.
The moon must be in retrograde 🌙😂

Okay, maybe not THAT extreme… but y’all get the point 😂

And guess what?

MY BREAD STILL WASN’T BREADING 😭🤣

I was stressing over dough temperatures, hydration, fermentation, starter percentages… meanwhile my dough was sitting there looking at me like, “Girl… just bake me.” 😂😂😂

So eventually I said…

FUDGE IT. I’M DOING IT MY WAY 🤷🏻‍♀️🤣

And THAT’S when things started clicking.

I’ve even gotten myself kicked out of a few Sourdough Facebook groups because apparently questioning the Sourdough Rule Book™ is frowned upon 😂😂😂

Listen… I respect the sourdough OGs. I really do 🙌🏼

But I also believe sourdough does NOT have to be this intimidating, complicated science experiment where you need a spreadsheet, a thermometer, a calculator and emotional support just to make a loaf of bread.

You need to understand the basics, learn what YOUR dough looks and feels like, and then figure out what works for YOU.

So… if y’all are still interested in learning sourdough without all the crazy rules, unnecessary stress and fear of being exiled from the Sourdough Community..

I might actually work something out.

A Crust & Crave Sourdough Class where I teach you the way I actually bake—realistic, approachable, and with a healthy amount of “FUDGE IT, LET’S SEE WHAT HAPPENS.” 😂🍞

Because if I can go from “WHY IS MY DOUGH DOING THIS?!” to selling sourdough…

So obviously, the only logical solution is to BAKE or at least that’s what I’m telling myself so I have an excuse to bake 😂

WELP……

I got a call yesterday confirming the market for Friday and was told I could bring my whole lineup this week. So obviously… I fed my sourdough starter 😅

And when I say I fed it… THIS is just ONE of TWO containers. 😂😂

Then I woke up this morning to an email saying…

THE MARKET IS CANCELLED THIS WEEK. 🫠🫠🫠

So now I’m sitting here looking at all this starter like… 👀

WHAT ARE WE MAKING?!
Sourdough everything, I guess! 🍞🥖🍪🧁
