Attention, pizza enthusiasts! We need your creative input for naming "The Corner Slice," located in the old Cooks building. Due to a trademark conflict with the original name, we are on the lookout for a fresh and catchy alternative.

This eatery aims to be a welcoming space where families and friends can gather to enjoy a diverse menu featuring unique pizzas, delicious sandwiches, and delectable desserts.

Join us in the effort to find a new name that reflects the spirit of community and great food! Your ideas could help shape a vibrant dining experience at this beloved spot.

The vault has vanished! That was a tricky part of this process. We're incredibly grateful to those involved in getting this step done. Next steps are cleaning up and then we get to start building. Stay tuned!

It's Maple Syrup Festival Weekend! We're taking a pause on the construction updates to share something different. We are SUPER EXCITED to introduce our partnership with Slabaugh’s Smokehouse! We have some cool pizza/sandwich concoctions in the works using their quality meats and sauces. Pictured below is our Midwest BBQ pizza; BBQ sauce TWO ways with Pulled Pork, Red Bell Pepper, Onion and Cheese made possible by our partner! It's turning into a forever favorite of ours and we can't wait to share it with all of you!

What has been the greatest hurdle to overcome on this project has been the bank vault. Located on the north wall of the building next to where the oven was there is a vault from when the building used to be a bank (the vault was formerly used as the cook's brothers office). The positioning of the vault unfortunately takes up a lot of space in the building and makes the floorplan difficult to work with. As such we made the decision to remove it.

As we started the project, we expected it to go fairly quickly. We were unfortunately mistaken, it was a project worth pursuing, but a time consuming one. 18 inches of concrete proved difficult to cut through. Nevertheless we prevailed and continue to make progress towards the goal of completion. (Photos of the vault attached)
