A Thanksgiving mountain muse
Gazing up at the stary galaxy on a dark night is like diving into the deep blue ocean. Relish moments: The pull of a bow on a grand master’s violin, the pluck of a harp string, the flutter of a chickadee’s wings, a babbling brook, the patter of rain drops, the rush of wind through the trees, the sound of a boot on dried leaves, the aroma of lavender and orange blossoms blooming, puppy breath, a baby’s smile, children laughing, playing go fish and hide and go seek, skipping stones on the water, a child’s hug.
Remember: a verse that stirred your soul, the brush of a loved one’s hand on the back of your neck, a look of adoration, the crackle of a fire, smores, ambers glowing. Oh, the mystical whisper of snow falling through the naked tree branches, hummingbirds dive bombing, the call of a loon at dusk, fresh dew on the lawn, a new blanket of pure white snow, morning sun lighting up mountain peaks and setting sun’s alpine glow, the green flash on the ocean, and rainbows.
There is something special about butterfly kisses, warm sand between your toes, a scared secret shared, blazing fall colors, the unique smells the trees and plants release after a rain, salty sea spray, freshly washed hair, fresh cut grass, bread just out of the oven, and friends waving, the ocean roar, the lapping of water against a boat hull, wind rattling sailboat shrouds, the drops of water from your paddle on the still lake, a swan gracefully skimming across the water, the misty breath of a buffalo on a cold morning, the neigh of a horse, sunlight illuminating the velvet on an elk’s antlers, a grizzly bear nursing its young, fawns, baby chicks, ducklings and bunnies, horses galloping on the grassy plains, a whale breaching, chipmunks racing around jumping over one another, dogs chasing balls each other and their tails, an eagle soaring overhead, ballerinas leaping, the contrails of swallows darting through low morning clouds, flashes of lightning, swishing through fresh powder, trick and treaters in costumes, the glee and sound of Christmas presents being unwrapped, the moment when the road diverged in two ways, the full moon ghostly silhouetting trees, settling into your favorite chair, cloudless bluebird days, puffy clouds shape shifting, thunderheads coming your way, the view from the top, giving, deep breaths and wide smiles.
The most exhilarating moments happen when you activate receptivity to experience love, joy, bliss, peace, and gracefully express gratitude for all you have.
