To our loyal customers, friends, and supporters,
After eight incredible years of roasting, brewing, and sharing our passion for craft coffee, we have made the difficult decision to dissolve our company and close our doors.
When we launched in 2018, our mission was simple: to bring the highest quality specialty beans to our cafe and our local community. For nearly a decade, we have given this business our absolute best shot—from the early mornings at the farmers markets to the countless craft shows and local events where we’ve met so many of you. Your support has been the heart of everything we’ve done.
When we started, we were able to source high-quality, specialty-grade green beans for roughly $2.00 per pound. Today, those same top-tier regions and quality scores cost us between $7.00 and $10.00+ per pound, and often higher depending on the origin. On average our cost are about 400% higher. We have always refused to compromise on the quality of our beans, but the global coffee landscape has shifted in a way that is no longer sustainable for a small, quality-focused roaster.
This isn't just a local challenge; it's a global one. Between extreme climate events in major growing regions and a volatile market that recently saw coffee futures hit 47-year highs, the costs have become difficult to absorb. Every other aspect of our craft—from bags and labels to energy, freight, and materials—has surged alongside the price of the coffee itself.
We are incredibly proud of the work we’ve done and the craft we shared at every Saturday market or at the cafe. We didn’t just want to be your caffeine source; we wanted to be a part of your daily ritual and your community.
To our regulars at the farmers market, our partners at local events, the coffee shop, and every person who ever bought a bag of our beans: Thank you. You made these last eight years an unforgettable experience. We gave it our best shot, and we leave with our heads held high and hearts full of gratitude.
Hopefully this isn't goodbye forever though! We will still be perfecting our craft in our personal time. Always feel free to talk coffee with us!
With heartfelt gratitude,
Doug & Brandon
