Hey folks, we’re having an estate sale at the restaurant on Saturday and Sunday from 10 to 4 to sell antiques and other furniture from our private residence.

Due to a couple of unforeseen curveballs, we will not be open this weekend and our last day of service was yesterday, August 29th.

We want to thank our community for the years of support, love, kindness, and giving us the opportunity to be a part of what makes the Hudson Valley so great.

Since our video announcement, the outpouring of love has been tremendous. It’s warmed our hearts and highlighted the value of just how great it’s been to call all of you our family. This is one hard goodbye 🥺

We love you. On to the next chapter!

Here’s a schnitzel the way we like to eat in the kitchen: a Kaiser salad with chicken schnitzel, capers. we like to grill the Romain, some sunny side up eggs, shaved Parmesan. Now that’s a Chef Special 😚

It’s almost impossible to believe that this weekend is our 14th anniversary😬 where the heck has time gone?! We’re are so thrilled to still be here after 14 years! And we’re so nostalgic for all the staff that have passed through our kitchen and dining rooms. Our heart and grateful thanks go out to all of you who have helped to make Gunkhaus such a wonderful success ❤️
