Join us Wednesday, 8/19, from 5:30-8:30pm for a workshop on Family Constellations with Origin Somatics.

Family Constellations is a therapeutic approach designed to help reveal the hidden dynamics in a family, system or relationship.

This alternative approach supports viewing the concern from a different perspective utilizing representations for the different people or elements involved in the issue.

In the group, participants or objects represent people, emotions, ties, contracts, loyalties or parts of the client’s system.

Seeing patterns and relationships between the parts of the system often helps to gain insight into challenges that are experienced today.

What gets revealed can be connected to:

~ the beliefs that their family may have held onto for generations in order to survive . .
~a family’s rules around belonging . . .
~ a family’s trauma history and identity . . .
~ significant events or people that have shaped sense of self, feelings, emotions and interpretations of past and present experiences . . .
~ rules around what can be shown or seen . . .

and much more.

About the instructor:

Kirstin Soares is a homebirth midwife and has been studying prenatal, birth and early attachment patterns for over a decade. Kirstin has extensive training in pregnancy and birth, somatic therapy, Internal Family Systems, Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy and is a facilitator in Family Constellations. Kirstin is a trauma informed somatic pre and perinatal practitioner who has studied extensively with Myrna Martin, Ray Castellino and their students.

Kirstin blends her deep respect and honor of conception, pregnancy and the birthing process with her deep listening skills, curiosity of the wisdom of the body and knowledge of relationship dynamics in a unique and sometimes playful way.

She has a private practice in El Cerrito and Albany, CA where she supports adults, infants, young children and their families in expressing, processing and integrating their earliest experiences.
