This weekend we’re co-hosting Kuhmar Shannon, founder of Say It With Your Chess—a Tulsa chess club focused on the development of the game and its members, in our town.

There’s so much to do this weekend so add this one to the list. Mr. Shannon will be hosting open-play Saturday, 1p-3p and then he’ll be providing availability for one-on-one’s during the last hour.

We highly encourage you to come out, meet and support this focused young man. This event is free and welcomes all ages, amateur to professional.

It’s time to appreciate the people doing the work and spreading the words. This weekend we’re hosting our good friend .books again and looking forward to celebrating her journey as an independent bookstore on her nationally recognized day.

There are a few ways to support her work as an independent bookstore owner but the most effective way is to purchase a book, puzzle or novelty from her diverse lineup that we highly recommend.

Pull into the shop for a fun weekend; great coffee’s just the added bonus.

A few Thursday’s per month a group of local artist crash our space and set up shop to create, socialize and appreciate one another. I’m always grateful for the knowledge and friendship they provide to the shop.

Local artist Carrol Ivan is my favorite though (sorry Pat, you ca understand why lol). She always uses our shop for inspo and I’m so humbled by her willingness to frame our community house in such a positive light.

Carrol if you’re reading this I want to say thanks again. Thank you for watering my shop with your vibrant spirit and helping me create a dedicated space for artists.
