The last batch of Watermelon Crush has dropped. 🍉
Watermelon Crush first appeared on our menu more than two years ago. We probably bought half as much coffee back then, and it probably stuck around three times as long.
But people remembered it. People kept asking about it. So this summer, we brought it back.
This time we bought more.
And you drank it faster.
Now it’s disappearing again, and we have no idea when we’ll make it again.
That’s how we want this menu to work.
Watermelon Crush is our fourth Futuristic Blend of 2026. We could be on our sixth, eighth, or twelfth by now. There’s no release calendar deciding that.
You are.
We intentionally don’t make enormous commitments to the coffees that go into these blends. We want the freedom to find an exciting crop, build something new around it, share it with you, and then move on to the next idea.
How quickly that happens depends entirely on how quickly you consume what we make.
A cup at our bar. A bag going home with someone in Tacoma. An online order headed across the country. A coffee shop somewhere making room for Naomi Joe on its menu.
It all makes the menu move.
The more places our coffee goes, the more room we have to take chances on interesting crops, chase new ideas, and turn more of those ideas into actual things you can obtain.
And every once in a while, you refuse to forget one of them.
So we bring it back.
Watermelon Crush got its encore. Now this is the last roast. 🍉
