Today, we're in a bigger space at the Springfield Mall, but this little shop in Morton will always be special. It taught us that you don't need a huge building to build something meaningful….
you just need faith, hard work, and people who believe in you.

Every friendship, every customer, every child and who came in for a snack and wrote their names on our walls “YOU” are what made the Hangout what it is today.

We may have moved, but we'll never forget where we started and we are so happy that so many of you followed us to the mall🤭

The Hangout turns 3 🎉🤭

Three years ago this week, we were preparing to open the doors to our very first location in Morton, PA.

We had big dreams, lots of ideas, plenty of nerves, and no way of knowing what the next three years would bring. We simply hoped people would show up, support us, and believe in what we were trying to create.

What started as a small snack bar quickly became so much more.

Over the years, we’ve celebrated birthdays, graduations, accomplishments, and milestones. We’ve met amazing families, made lifelong friends, watched children grow up, welcomed new babies, and even gotten to know your pets. We laughed together, cried together, and became part of a community that we will forever be grateful for.

There were challenges, setbacks, long nights, and moments when we wondered how we would keep going. But every time, this community reminded us why we started.

Today, three years later, we’ve grown into something bigger than we ever imagined. While we’ve moved on from our original Morton location, we’ve carried the heart of The Hangout with us every step of the way.

Now located at Springfield Mall, The Hangout Crafe continues to evolve, grow, and create new memories. But no matter how much we grow, we’ll never forget where it all began.

To every customer, friend, family member, employee, supporter, and child who walked through our doors over the last three years—thank you.

You helped build this dream.

You are part of our story.

⚠️Sensitive Content – Please Read with Kindness

This post is not intended to judge anyone. It is simply meant to spread awareness and remind us all that sometimes a small act of kindness can make a big difference.

Today, a young person came into The Hangout, they were alone and told our Host they were hungry and didn't have money for food. Our host came to me and asked if it would be okay to provide a free meal.

The answer was immediate: absolutely.

There were no questions and no need for explanations. We didn't ask why they were hungry, where their parents were, or what their situation was. We simply made sure they had something to eat.

The young person chose to take their meal to go and sat on a bench in the mall to eat.

As adults, we don't always know what someone is going through. Sometimes people are having a hard day, a hard week, or facing challenges we can't see. A little kindness can go a long way.

I posted about this situation because this is the reason we choose to keep showing up even if no customers come in but just for the people who do and for people like our new friend today.

If your child comes into The Hangout with friends and may not have enough for something but all the other friends are ordering, I personally cover the difference when I am there , because whether or not they can call you for the difference, they will not need to while they’re in our community!!

We are a family-owned business that believes in community, compassion, and being part of the village that helps raise and support our families and children.

It takes a village and we are proud to be a small part of that village.

At the Hangout we always lead with kindness. You never know what someone may be carrying.

This past weekend was a blast .. We are Thankful for everyone who came to hangout with us 🤭

The beautiful Ms. Adia from Captain Hook’s Playroom came out with her family and we finally got to meet in person. She and I share similar business visions and I couldn’t wait to link up with her.
