Hi everyone! My name is Allyson Traeger, and I am the Land Use Administrator for the Town of Sunapee.

Working in local government has given me a true appreciation for community. One of the most rewarding parts of my job is helping residents navigate land use challenges and seeing the positive impact local government can have on people's daily lives. I’m passionate about encouraging more young people to get involved in local and state government because there is so much opportunity to make a meaningful difference when you stay engaged. I am on The Chamber Board, the Outreach Chair for the YPs, and involved in the Book Club with the YPs!

Outside of work, I have a small homestead and love all things animals, gardening, and growing my own food. You can usually find me at the Sunapee Farmers Market on Saturdays! If I'm not working or in the garden, I'm likely hiking, exploring small towns across New Hampshire, or spending time with my dogs.

A favorite quote that I have would be from Jane Goodall, “What you do makes a difference, and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make.”

To future young professionals: don’t be afraid to put yourself out there. Networking often leads to unexpected opportunities to learn, grow, and build meaningful connections. You never know what doors might open unless you take the chance.

Hi there! My name is Jenna I am the Marketing Coordinator for the Lake Sunapee Chamber of Commerce right on Main Street New London!

Growing up in the Lake Sunapee Region and coming back after college it has allowed Jenna to really appreciate the aspect where you can stay, work and play where you grew up! Jenna is also a Co-Chair of the LSRYPN, a part of the YP Book Club, and a part of the Stay Work Play Advisory Council!

When Jenna is not at work or with her dogs (she has 5!) you can usually find her in the gym lifting heavy weights, going to a concert (near or far!), traveling, and spending time with her dog Lettie!

Advice to a fellow YP?
Take chances and do something new!

Meet the YP's!

Hi, I’m Dorothy, the Media & Public Relations Coordinator at R***r. I enjoy engaging with people and finding creative ways to promote the brand. Whether I’m supporting events that strengthen relationships with media partners or bringing new ideas to life, I enjoy creating meaningful connections in the outdoor industry. I also like getting to know local businesses, nonprofits, and community members. Through conversations and community interactions, I discovered a volunteer opportunity that aligns with my interests. Since 2023, I’ve been volunteering at Wags & Wiggles in Newport, NH, and it’s very fulfilling to help sweet dogs find their forever homes. Since 2025, I’ve been part of the Lake Sunapee Young Professionals. I enjoy networking and helping brainstorm fun events. I look forward to this group's growth! It’s such a blessing to help promote what the Lake Sunapee area has to offer, including small-town businesses, the lakes, and Mount Sunapee!

Outside of work, you’ll find me outside with friends and my dog whenever possible. I love hiking, fishing, camping, and paddleboarding. I’m also passionate about photography and love capturing moments, landscapes, and wildlife. Through my camera lens, I strive to preserve stories and experiences.

Meet Jesse!

Jesse is the Marketing Director at the John Hay Estate at The Fells in Newbury, NH. She also runs her own business, Mountain View Marketing NH on the side. Her experience with nonprofits and small businesses inspired her to launch her own digital marketing agency, driven by a passion for supporting the vital organizations and businesses that help communities thrive.

Since moving to New Hampshire from Cape Cod, Jesse has become heavily involved in her town and local community. She is the Co-Chair of Lake Sunapee Region Young Professionals Network, volunteers for the Friends of the Bradford Town Hall Theater, and is the graphic designer for the Bradford Bridge newspaper.

Outside of work, Jesse enjoys reading (she's involved in two book clubs!), going to concerts, walking her dogs, biking, and skiing.

Her advice to fellow YP's?
"Don't be afraid to put yourself out there. Making friends as an adult is already difficult and chances are, other young professionals are hoping you will make the first move."
