Timespan is our first dark roast coffee. We've been quietly working to perfect Timespan for the past two years, and today we're finally ready to share it with the world.⁠
⁠
To create Timespan, we start with an intentionally sourced, high quality coffee that features muted acidity and plenty of sweetness. The same coffee often appears on our single-origin menu or as part of our blends. Then we intentionally lengthen the roast to more deeply caramelize the coffee’s natural sugars — preserving its balanced structure while highlighting sweetness and body. The result is a smooth, rich, and full-bodied cup that reminds us of a fine dark chocolate bar.⁠

Timespan makes a great introduction to specialty coffee, and it’s an excellent option for seasoned specialty fans looking for a bolder cup that’s smooth and easy to enjoy. This coffee is delicious on its own, but a little sugar or a splash of cream are excellent complements to its rich flavor.⁠

Ashley manages our commissary kitchen. Tucked in the hallway of our High Low coffee bar, the commissary preps all the baked goods for our cafés — biscuits, scones, muffins, cookies, power bars, granola, and more. They send the frozen dough to our cafés, where baristas bake the pastries fresh each morning. If you’ve enjoyed a pastry or snack at Blueprint in the last few years, it was made with love by our commissary team.⁠

Our newest Boutique Series offering is an incredibly delicious Gesha grown in Colombia by Nidia Lasso.⁠

Nidia continues a proud family tradition, working side-by-side with her father in the highlands of San Pedro de Cartago, a town nestled in the Andes mountains of southwestern Colombia. On her 12-hectare farm, shade trees, plantain, and cassava grow alongside coffee plants.⁠
⁠
Grown, hand-harvested, and washed with tremendous care by Nidia and her team, this offering is an excellent representation of the Gesha variety. Gesha originated in Ethiopia’s Gori Gesha forest; today it’s prized by producers and roasters throughout the world for its complex, floral character and exceptional cup quality.⁠

This coffee has everything we want in a great Gesha: a clean body bursting with juicy melon and floral sweetness in every sip. Just as the earth around us is exploding with the warm sun, fresh life, and blooming flowers of spring in St. Louis, this is a cup that beautifully captures the energy of the season.⁠

This quintessential washed Gesha tastes like a sunny early summer afternoon feels: softly fruity, floral, and easy to love.⁠ The light, silky body reminds us of rooibos tea with a squeeze of lemon. Juicy honeydew and candied citrus sweetness are balanced by the depth of sticky toffee. Each sip carries a honeysuckle perfume at the front, and at the back lingers sweet jasmine and honey. ⁠
