A word packed with so much significance, Aloha has applications for all facets of life, not just in saying hello and goodbye. Locals know the importance of “living aloha” on the islands. It signifies a way of life through unity and oneness with mankind, the sea and da ‘aina. In concert with the Hawaiian lifestyle Buzz's Hawaiian Grill is concerned with our planet. The earths water supply, landfills and food source. We use eco-friendly containers wherever possible to reduce landfill waste. Not only are our dishes compostable, so are the utensils, and straws we use. Our napkins are 90% post-consumer recycled fiber with a bleach free process. Even our Hawaiian Shave Ice cups are made from biodegradable (PLA) plastics, which are derived from renewable resources such as corn starch, sugar cane and tapioca. The Hawaii State Legislature is considering a bill to ban polystyrene containers in 2018. Buzz's Hawaiian Grill banned Styrofoam in 2016.

🌺 Who Says You Can't Have Hawaiian Breakfast is St. Louis? 🍳🌴

Once upon a time, Buzz's served up some pretty amazing Hawaiian breakfasts on the weekends. Unfortunately, St. Louis wasn't quite ready for our island-style morning grinds, so breakfast went bye-bye. 😢

But here's a little secret... you can still build yourself one heck of a Hawaiian breakfast at Buzz's!

We're talking hot steamed rice (or better yet, Hawaiian Fried Rice), savory Portuguese sausage, some fried SPAM, and a couple of eggs cooked just the way you like 'em! 🍚🍳

🍖 KALBI RIBS! A LITTLE KOREAN FLAVOR, A WHOLE LOTTA HAWAIʻI! 🌺

One of the wonderful things about Hawaiian food is how different cultures brought their favorite dishes to the islands, and Hawaiʻi made them its own!

Take Korean-style Kalbi ribs, for example. These thin-cut, bone-in beef short ribs are marinated in a delicious blend of sweet and savory flavors, then grilled over an open flame until the edges caramelize and the meat is bursting with flavor.

In Hawaiʻi, Kalbi has become a plate lunch favorite, right alongside Teriyaki Chicken, Chicken Katsu, and Kalua Pig.

Sometimes the most special thing served at Buzz’s isn’t on the menu.

Kay and Deb are two of our regulars. Deb is from Hawaiʻi, and she has a cousin, Robbin, whom she had never met in person. Through a Buzz’s Facebook post, a plan came together: the next time Robbin traveled through St. Louis, they would meet right here at Buzz’s.

Imagine that—cousins meeting for the first time, with Hawaiian food on the table and plenty of talk-story to catch up on.

Bringing ʻohana together to talk-story and share kau kau is one of the greatest joys of my life. People tell me my food touches them, brings back memories, or makes them feel closer to home. What I hope they know is how deeply moments like this touch me, too.

Look who’s at the top of the list!

St. Louis Magazine featured Buzz’s Hawaiian Grill first in “Where to get lunch for $10 in St. Louis,” and we’re thrilled to see our little island café getting some love!

From our Kalua Pig Sandwich and Teri Burger to saimin and poke, you can satisfy those island cravings without making your wallet say “auē!”

At Buzz’s Hawaiian Grill, sharing aloha with St. Louis starts before the first bite—with a friendly greeting, a helpful attitude, and making every guest feel welcome.

We’re looking for a Hostess/Cashier who truly enjoys taking care of people. Someone who notices a guest waiting, offers help with the menu, listens carefully, and stays kind and attentive when things get busy. Familiarity with Asian food is a plus, but not a requirement.

You’ll greet guests, take orders, and help keep the front of the café organized and running smoothly. Reliability, teamwork, and genuine consideration for others are essential.
