Did you know?::
Pierce Creek's farm is 240 acres, there's plenty of room for cows and an abundance of biodiversity. As the cows are rotated through the fields, they leave behind a feast for pollinators. It's amazing to see how a 1200 lb cow noses around milkweed plants and leaves them standing! When they've eaten the grass and we move them out there is milkweed, ironweed, and other native plants that sustain a host of butterflies, wasps, and other insects. The insects are a vital part of the food chain. Birds feed their young and fatten up for migrating south.
You can see photos of the farm when you dine in at our restaurant. We love sharing stories about the farm and our experience there, so when you see us please don't hesitate to ask Kent and Rachelle any questions.
