🎉 HAPPY 75TH BIRTHDAY 🎉

If you have ever had the honor of being in the same orbit as my mom, Helen, then you know just how truly incredible she is.

She is selfless and gives so freely of herself to everyone she loves. She’s sassy as all get out. She has a “I don’t get mad, I get even” mentality. She’s loyal to a fault. She is the best caregiver to ever walk this planet. And when you get her going, she is absolutely hilarious.

She has spent 75 years loving people well, showing up for others, caring for her family, making people laugh, and leaving her mark on so many lives. I’m incredibly blessed to call her Mom.

So today, we’re celebrating HER! ❤️ And if you happen to show up at the Grand Ole Opry today, please come see us and make sure you tell her Happy Birthday! I know it would make her day.

This past weekend, Mom and I got away to Sugarcreek, Ohio, to explore and celebrate her birthday a little early.

It was a much-needed weekend to appreciate where we’ve been, dream about what’s ahead, and simply enjoy some time together.

Of course, when we saw signs for “fry pies” in Amish country, we couldn’t just drive on by! We stopped, brought some home, and let everyone have a taste. We loved experiencing how another community makes this beloved treat.

Our taste buds may have been a little partial, but we’ll always have a soft spot for the fried pies coming out of our Pie Cottage!

Eight years, three generations, and thousands upon thousands of pies will do that to you.

We came home grateful, rejuvenated, and more excited than ever for what’s ahead. Because after eight years, we still believe there’s nothing quite like a homemade Amazin’ Glazin’ Fried Pie.

Just a little reminder that today is our ONLY drop off this week because we are getting ready to celebrate Helen’s birthday a little early! We’re taking a few days to slow down, make some memories, and enjoy a little birthday road trip together.

And if you’re heading to the Grand Ole Opry this week, we delivered a fresh batch of pies there last night, too!

Happy First Day of Autumn! We’ve been frying up pies in the Pie Cottage and loving these cooler temperatures today. Let’s hope they stick around!

Bet you didn’t know you can pop one of our pies in the microwave for just 20 seconds and enjoy it warm, especially with a scoop of your favorite ice cream. Talk about a little taste of fall!

Tomorrow is our last pie drop before we head out for Helen’s birthday vacation, and we cannot wait to shut your pie holes one more time before we go!
