Affogato is an Italian word that literally means “drowned.” It’s been an Italian cafe staple for decades and we’re excited to bring it to the summer menu at Arrowroot.

Grab a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream drowned in our house espresso. (Also available with vegan vanilla ice cream)

Bad jokes aside here are the summer seasonals at Arrowroot!

Affogato - Get a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream topped with a double shot of our house Earth Tones Espresso. Also available with vegan ice cream upon request.

Lavender Butterfly Lemonade - house lemonade made fresh with Lavender syrup and topped with a shot of butterfly pea tea.

Passionfruit Clouds Iced Latte - An Iced raspberry latte with a Passionfruit cold foam.

Strawberry Iced Tea - An unsweetened herbal strawberry tea. A nice crisp refreshing drink for warm summer days.

All available now in the lounge.

Question: “Thoughts on a moka pot? I want to try to recreate lattes at home.”
Short answer: Moka pots make strong coffee, but they’re difficult to use and often make a worse coffee than other brewing methods.
What I’d do instead: For iced lattes: cold brew concentrate For hot lattes: AeroPress and French press combo using a fellow prismo on the aeropress to mock espresso and the French press to froth milk.
These are my favorite ways to make lattes at home without an espresso machine.

We’re now open Tuesdays!

You’ve been asking us for more days in the lounge and we’re excited to announce we’re now open Tuesday - Friday 7:00am-2:00pm and Saturday/Sunday 8:00am-3:00pm. New hours go into effect starting this Tuesday 5/19. We can’t wait to see you then!
