Pre-ordering is now open and this week’s menu is live!
Pre-ordering closes this Sunday at 8PM and pickups will be at the Spotsylvania Farmers Market this Wednesday, September 23rd from 2-6PM.

I am excited to roll out the use of Simply Bread’s ordering platform to help me manage pre-orders more efficiently because you all keep showing up for this little bakery dream 🥹

When we launched The Sourdough Family Table last year we only took pre-orders and did porch pickups. Because my operation was so small I could simply text everyone weekly myself.

I am sitting here with a heart full of gratitude for the fact that I can’t keep up texting each of you personally any more. This also makes me really sad because I love having a personal connection with each of you - and I pray we don’t lose that!! So please don’t ever hesitate to reach out or share about your family as you have been doing because I want to hear it all!!

Yesterday’s set up where you guys showed up strong 💪🏼🙌🏼💖

A recurring theme of conversations yesterday was that some of you had been gifted one of my loaves or baked goods and you had to come back for more 🥹 that is a tremendous compliment and I’m so grateful you took the time to find me and for those who gifted our baked goods 💖

Think homemade buttery toffee.
Chocolate chips.
Flakey sea salt.
Brown butter and the nutty flavor of freshly milled flour.

The texture of these Salty Toffee Chocolate Chip cookies is soft (but NOT cakey) with the best tender crunch around the edges and bottom.

You can find these at the Spotsylvania Farmers Market tomorrow at my Hunter green tent from 2-6PM. And we always have samples if you want to try before you buy - or try and buy 🙌🏼

This week’s menu is live! And you’ll notice that we added a special menu item in honor of my birthday month 🎉

Come snag the cupcakes I make for my family when we celebrate birthdays - these soft chocolate cupcakes let the delicious flavor of freshly milled flour shine! They have swirls of vanilla bean buttercream and are topped with dye-free sprinkles.

These Birthday Cupcakes will be available on a first come first served basis while supplies last.

SOLD OUT! 🥹

Yesterday’s market was such a good one — we completely sold out! Thank you so much to everyone who stopped by, picked up bread, and who continues to support our little family bakery. It means more than you know.

And we have some exciting news!

Preordering just got a whole lot easier. We are now using Simply Bread for our weekly preorders!

You can browse the week’s menu, place your order ahead of time, and make sure your favorites are waiting for you at the market — no worrying about whether we’ll sell out before you get there.

You can also sign up for our weekly text so you’ll know when each new menu goes live. The menu for next week will go live tomorrow afternoon.

You bought your bread and now you wonder how long it will keep for. Do you freeze it? Do you slice it before freezing?

Because our bread is made of simple ingredients (flour, water, and salt) and does not have any preservatives in it, we recommend keeping it at room temp for 2-3 days and if you know you won’t finish it in that time then go ahead and slice it and pop it in the freezer. It toasts up beautifully from frozen! You can even revive an entire unsliced loaf from frozen 👀

Week one of baking at our goal capacity and homeschooling was a success!

Yesterday’s market was a test of the systems we set in place to set our kiddos and my little bakery up to operate in conjunction with each other in a life giving way - and we all agreed that it worked well 🙌🏼

Thank you so much for showing up each week and supporting this little business. Your support allows me to stay home with my kiddos while also doing something I love and am passionate about (baking!).

I’m so excited to be back in the market swing of things today! 🙌🏼

Come say hi Spotsylvania Farmers Market at Spotsylvania Courthouse Village today from 2-6PM!

The weather should be fantastic and you’ll be able to find me and my sourdough bread and cinnamon rolls in our hunter green tent.
