randparents always had a package of toasted coconut marshmallows right next to the Fig Newtons and the wheat bread. They were a staple and I loved to eat them right from the package. My family and I spent the summers roasting marshmallows over their backyard firepit or on family camping trips. I have such fond memories of our time spent together. During the Covid pandemic the coconut marshmallows from my childhood were no longer being produced. I loved those marshmallows and the reminder of time spent with my grandparents; it felt like a piece of me was missing. I decided to put my culinary degree to good use and I made my own toasted coconut marshmallows. There is no comparison between a homemade marshmallow and a store-bought one. They are incredible plain or roasted over a fire. Try a sample and find out for yourself! With the help of my husband and seven kids (the official taste testers), we started experimenting with different flavors including peach, raspberry, cookie dough, birthday cake, churro, lemon meringue, chocolate, and caramel to name a few. There are a lot of different “favorites” among our family but coconut will always be mine; not only for the amazing flavor but also for the nostalgia of my childhood. It was fun to see so many people at the Shelley Farmer's Market. We will be there almost every Thursday this summer. Stop by and get some marshmallows for your bext barbecue or camping adventure.

Thank you to everyone who joined us last night and helped make the Shelley Farmers Market such a great kickoff. Seeing the street filled with vendors, food trucks, families, and friends was incredible and a reminder of what can happen when a community comes together to support local.

We also want to give a HUGE thank you to Altair Productions, LLC and BBUX Real Estate Collective for coming out and capturing the market. The photos and videos they took are amazing, and we’re so excited to start sharing them with all of you! 📸🎥 Thank you for helping showcase the heart of our community and the incredible vendors who make this market possible.
