With a specials menu theme like Best of Vermont, you have to highlight b**r and cheese, so why not together? Our B**r Battered Fried Cheese Curds bring together Bridport Creamery Garlic Habanero cheese curds and Switchback Ale into a decadent marriage that everyone should be celebrating! Once you’ve got these little guys fried up there isn’t much else you need to do, so we’re presenting them fairly simply, with a drizzle of maple sriracha sauce just to add one more dimension of flavor. For our Best of Vermont specials menu we brought back a favorite from last Fall, our Autumn Chili! This one is built on excellent LaPlatte River Angus ground beef, and in addition to classic ingredients like onions, peppers, beans & tomato, we’ve also added a unique dimension with sweet corn, pumpkin purée and 14th Star Maple Pumpkin Ale (on tap now!). This combination of ingredients, in tandem with our house chili spice blend, makes for an approachable dish that’s not heavy on the heat but is plenty heavy on flavor! We’re topping it with sour cream and shredded Vermont Farmhouse BrickHaus Tilsit cheese, plus a side of mini cornbread muffins!

This week’s specials menu theme is “Best of Vermont,” so we’re digging into both a treasure trove of products that make Vermont special, as well as homey recipes bursting with New England nostalgia. This one definitely falls into the latter category - our Chicken Pot Pie features juicy boneless chicken thighs, peas, carrots, onions & celery mingling happily in a rich sauce made with chicken broth and cream. We’re topping ours with a buttery homemade cheddar biscuit made with Cabot extra sharp cheddar. Judging by how this one sold on night one you’d better get here soon! It’ll be available at dinner from now until it’s gone, so make your reservations!

One of our new specials this week is a Grilled Chicken Sandwich with Swiss cheese, bacon, cider-pickled Cobble Knoll Orchard SnowSweet apples, Little Leaf lettuce, and Jed’s NEK spicy maple mustard. To give it a fun little local, seasonal twist we’re serving this sandwich with Yoder Farm delicata squash “fries!” You might be surprised how delightful delicata can be with a simple dry dredge and a couple minutes spent in the fryer. We have new weekly specials available now, including this Harvest Salad! It starts with crisp Little Leaf lettuce tossed with a cranberry maple balsamic vinaigrette, then we’re topping it with Cobble Knoll Orchard SnowSweet apples, maple-roasted sweet potatoes, walnuts & farmer’s cheese. A great vegetarian entree option, but if you’d like you could also add chicken breast or bacon. See you this weekend!
