Stepped outside this morning and definitely felt that bite in the air—fall is officially here.

If you need an excuse to warm up, come try our fried apple pancake stack: a tall stack of fluffy pancakes topped with warm fried apples, crispy bacon, maple syrup, and plenty of whipped cream. Sweet, salty, and basically autumn on a plate.
Coffee is fresh and the griddle is hot. Come grab a table and lean into the season with us. ☕🥞

Before we introduce Mae’s Townhouse in Brownstown, we want to honor the woman who made this space special. ❤️

For over a decade, Patty Stahl welcomed people into Stahl’s Cafe for lunch, conversation, and a place at her table. We know saying goodbye to her cafe is bittersweet for Patty and the community she’s fed all these years.

As we celebrate her retirement and prepare for this next chapter, we’re grateful for the opportunity to carry on the tradition of feeding people in this space.

Patty, we hope retirement brings you rest, joy, and time for all the things you love. And we hope you’ll come back to your old cafe, pull up a chair, and let us cook for YOU. There will always be a place for you at our table.

Another year older, another year of us being ridiculously lucky to have you at Mae’s.

Olivia is one of those people who just shows up—for her coworkers, for our customers, and for this crazy little restaurant. She works hard, keeps us laughing, rolls with the chaos, and has become such an important part of the Mae’s family.

After more than 10 years with us, it’s hard to even imagine this place without her smiling face in it. 🥹

Olivia, we hope you know how loved and appreciated you are—not just today, but every single day.
