For Michelle Akiyama Galvin, has been part of her story since childhood. Years later, a conversation with Denise Moriguchi (3rd generation Uwajimaya CEO) turned that shared love of food into something real. ✨

And the inspiration was no accident. Teriyaki—deeply rooted in Seattle’s food culture and done like nowhere else—felt like the perfect place to start. The Waji Pie is an ode to the PNW’s diverse Asian cultures, and we’re proud to have created something that’s not only meaningful, but delicious too. ❤️
