Bourbon Steak Takeover Dinner Series x Chef Erick Pineda

Last night, Bourbon Steak welcomed Requinto Chef Erick Pineda for the inaugural Takeover Dinner—a five-course experience inspired by his family’s roots in Southern Mexico, paired with pours from Mezcal Vago, Tequila Ocho, Elijah Craig and Señor Sotol.

An evening of bold flavors, thoughtful technique and a table that brought it all together.

Chef Michael Mina joined us at Bourbon Steak for an unforgettable tasting menu inspired by his cookbook, My Egypt.

Guests had a rare chance to connect with the chef himself as he moved through the dining room, while each course brought a new story to the table.

Bourbon Steak Takeover Dinner Series x Chef Erick Pineda 🎸

Before Erick Pineda was known for redefining Phoenix’s culinary scene, his father was playing guitar and standup bass at La Hacienda Scottsdale, right here at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess. That’s where the names Requinto and Tololoche come from, a tribute to the instruments, and the man who played them.

On September 16, Erick returns to that same property. Different instrument this time: a five-course menu built on his family’s roots in southern Mexico.

The night starts at 6:00 PM with bubbles and passed canapés, followed by dinner at 6:30 PM, paired with pours from Mezcal Vago, Tequila Ocho, Elijah Craig, and Señor Sotol.
