Apple Fritter season is on! A few fun facts:

+We sell around 200 fritters a week.
+Two different types of local farm apples, one sweet and one tart, cut into small pieces
+We reuse our donut dough, as once it is cut for donut rounds it cannot be used to make more donuts...so no waste!
+Our recipe has changed over the years. Back in the day we rolled a log and scored it and then cut and made the fritters by hand. We found when we fried off the fritters that a lot of apples would fall out. After a trip to a donut shop in Key West, we were impressed with the fritter and asked for some tips, and like many of the donut shops in our travels, they were happy to oblige.
