Many of you have reached out asking how you can help as I recover, and since having a meal train would be a huge help (and force me to actually eat!), my amazing sister set one up for us!
As for today, gamma knife went better than I expected, but getting the head frame was truly terrifying since you have to be awake for it—honestly, it makes you feel like you're being tortured and kind of messes with your head a little bit! There were four of us doing it today, and I asked if I could go first just to get it over with so I could escape, make a quick stop at Starbucks, and finally head home 😂.
I was able to take the wrap off and now I just have some bandages. They warned me that this will likely cause extreme swelling—so bad it could even swell my eyes shut—so please pray that doesn’t happen! To top it all off, I have chemo scheduled for tomorrow, so it’s quite the double whammy. But you can't break me. I may be soft on the inside, but on the outside, I’m built for all seasons 😂😂😂.
Thank you all for your continued support and love. Each of you lifts me up so much, and your encouragement makes this chronic illness life sentence feel so much less alone. I pray that none of you ever have to endure what I’m going through right now, but if you do, I pray you have the army of support that I do.
Bless you all. Always trust God's plan, even when it doesn't make sense, and never let those hard days win! I love you all 💜🤟🏽🙏🏼
