What a weekend at the Bloomin’ BBQ Music & Food Festival!

We had the opportunity to compete in one of the biggest contests we’ve entered so far, with 34 talented teams battling it out in:

* Anything Bush’s Beans
* Anything Swaggerty’s Sausage
* Dessert
* Chicken
* Ribs
* Pork
* Brisket

We’re still learning every contest we go to and trying to soak up as much knowledge as possible from the teams around us. That’s one of the best parts of competition BBQ.

We were incredibly excited and proud to hear our name called in all three ancillary categories:
🥈 2nd Place – Beans
🏅 4th Place – Sausage
🏅 4th Place – Dessert

Then came the meat categories…
Chicken… nothing.
Ribs… nothing.
Pork… nothing.

Honestly, we expected it because we’ve been running middle of the pack in those categories while we continue learning and improving. Randy looked over and said, “I’m going to hook the trailer up so we can get out of here fast when awards are over.”

And then, by the grace of God…

We are beyond excited and proud of this accomplishment. Moments like this remind us why we put in the long nights, early mornings, and hard work.

Congratulations to all of the winners and every team that competed this weekend. The talent at this contest was incredible, and we’re thankful to have been part of it. Onward and upward for The Local Que! 🔥🇺🇸
