Hi, my name is Cheryl, and my daughter's name is Sarah. In the 1980s, 1990s, and even as recently as 2012, I cleaned houses for part of my living. We have decided to start offering local services for house cleaning. grocery shopping, pet exercise/sitting, and help with various errands at an affordable cost.
As time has passed, I have noticed a disproportionate increase in cost for these vital services. For that reason, we are going to offer a sliding scale, but charging $25 per hour (for cleaning) makes services much more accessible than most professionals offer today. In addition, working for 1 and 2 hours is often frowned upon in the service industry, with workers preferring 4 hour minimums per week or every other week. This is how I was trained as well, but it is limiting for those who need help and don't have the money. This will allow for tailored services and you'll know what you are paying before work is commenced. Prices for other services will be decided based on the task.
I use a homemade soft scrub, and tend to favor using citrus products, as well as vinegar and baking soda for cleaning. I generally stay away from the use of chemicals that pose risk to human health. So chemically sensitive people might prefer us using non-toxic cleaners.
