Good morning Lubbock Texas! I have made the hard decision to push pause on my food truck. Losing my dad has taken its toll on me big time. However, for now I’ve decided to offer my services as an in home chef and also teaching lessons on pits, grills, and how to make big meals out of what is in your home already. If anyone is interested, please go ahead and shoot me a message. For now, it is hard for me to step inside of that truck. I will be back down the road. But I will continue to do catering too.

A special change to the Backwood’s Barbie’Q menu… 🪵

🔥 A lot of you have heard about Backwood’s Barbie’Q, but you might not know the man who inspired the hustle behind it.

We suddenly lost my dad, Tommy Boleyn on August 11th. He never got the chance to step up to the window and see this truck in action, but his spirit is in every single log we burn and every early morning fire we light. Anyone who knew him knows that my daddy loved ribs more than anything. To honor him, we are officially adding Tommy’s Smokehouse Ribs to the permanent menu. They are slow-smoked, fall-off-the-bone tender, and made with the exact kind of pride he taught me to have. I wish he could be here to try them, but serving them to all of you is the best way I know how to keep his memory alive.

Come grab a slab this weekend and celebrate him with me. We are rolling out the first batch of Tommy’s Smokehouse Ribs starting this

Dear Port Lavaca Community,

Thank you so much for the incredible support you have shown our food trailer! Since the day we first opened our window, the warmth and hospitality of this town have made us feel right at home. Saying goodbye is never easy, and it is with a heavy heart that we share some bittersweet news. Our food trailer will be moving to a new city tomorrow.

As we prepare for this next chapter, we want you to know just how much we are going to miss you. Whether you stopped by for a quick lunch, braved the Texas heat to wait in line, or shared our daily specials with your friends, you helped a small business dream become a reality.

Ready to hit the road in the morning to Lubbock. Keep in mind we are still transitioning from our old logo to the new one. As soon as our new ones are ready we will remove the old ones from the trailer. For now though our logo on the trailer is the picture below. We are excited to be back in West Texas! We are planning a soft opening by this Friday. Keep your eyes peeled on our page the next 24 hours for time and location.

Good afternoon y’all! We will be open at 4 PM today. We will have our brisket plates today and ribs! Sides we have are corn cob, beans, and potato salad. We do have several crunch bags left. One Doritos ranch and 5 hot cheeto bags.

Also for every brisket plate sold or rib plate we will throw in a free can soda.
