If you’ve been wondering why I’ve mostly been working nights lately, this is why!
Running a food truck is so much more than simply getting in the truck and serving at a destination. There’s a lot that goes on behind the scenes—prepping, loading everything into the truck, driving to the location, setting up, serving, cleaning up after the shift, securing everything for the ride home, driving back, and then unloading everything all over again.
And when I say everything, I mean everything! Think dairy products, coffee beans, matcha, food, supplies, equipment, and so much more.
The last time I worked during the day, I nearly passed out from the heat. So, to all of the food trucks out there working with grills, ovens, and other heat-producing equipment in this weather— major props to you! I truly don’t know how you do it! 👏🏼
Once this heat finally dies down, I’ll be back to working more in the daytime. Until then, please stay cool, drink plenty of water, and take care of yourselves! 🫶🏼
