We’re back from Memphis in May and ready to fire the Big Green Eggs back up this week! 👇

🏆 MONDAY, MAY 18 – CLOSEDWe’ll be traveling home from the Memphis in May World Championship of Barbecue.

The team I cooked with — Team Moe Cason — came in a solid 12th place overall! 🔥

What’s crazy is our LOWEST score was a 9.97 out of 10 😳That just shows how stiff the competition is when only a few hundredths of a point separate 1st place from 12th place.

Huge thanks to Team Moe Cason for letting me be part of such an incredible experience 🙌🔥

After a whole lot of late nights, rewrites, second guesses, and staring at a blinking cursor… it’s finally real.

My book is officially live on Amazon.

What’s kind of crazy is this whole thing started as a gift for Katie. Just an idea that turned into a story… and somewhere along the way it became a full book. Then another idea. Then another. Before I knew it, I was completely invested in these characters and this world. What was supposed to be one story has now officially turned into a series, and there are already more books in the works.

Some of y’all have been hearing me talk about this thing for a long time now, and honestly there were moments I wasn’t sure I’d ever actually hit the publish button. But here we are.

This story has a lot of heart in it. Family, friendship, mystery, small town life, and the kind of people that stick with you long after you meet them.

I’m still kind of shocked to say this out loud… but I’m officially a published author.

I also just ordered my first box of copies, so if anybody wants an autographed one instead of ordering through Amazon, I should have some available soon.

I don’t usually stop and post like this… but this one deserves it.

Three years ago, my little girl walked across the stage and graduated high school with a 4.0+ GPA.

Next month, she’ll be graduating college with her Bachelor’s degree in Recreational Therapy… with a 4.0+ GPA again.

Let that sink in for a second.

Three. Years.

Perfect grades. Again.

And if that wasn’t enough — she’s already been accepted and will be starting her Doctorate program this summer.

I honestly don’t even know how to put into words how proud I am of her. The work, the discipline, the late nights, the sacrifices… it’s just incredible to watch.

But what makes me the proudest isn’t just how smart she is — it’s who she is. She genuinely cares about people and wants to make a difference, and that’s exactly what this field is all about.

Bree, you amaze me. Every single day.

I love you more than you’ll ever know, and I couldn’t be prouder to be your dad.

The world better get ready — you’re just getting started. ❤️🔥
