Reasons you should hire me to make your cake!

I will NEVER look at your inspiration picture and say “I can do that” and then not give you something that looks nothing like you asked for. IE, the Walmart mishaps

I will always give you the best-tasting cake I possibly can. Because it can’t just LOOK good. It better taste good too!

Once you become my customer, you’re more than just a customer. ❤️

You’re also getting some entertainment along with your cake because I can’t seem to just make cakes without some humor also.

And most importantly… you will not be disappointed. I put a lot of pride into what leaves my kitchen.

So if you’ve got a cake idea, send it to me. If I’m not qualified, I’ll find someone who is!

I’m beyond proud of this kid. Today he received his first offer to play college basketball.

I’ve said it many times, and I’ll say it again: he quietly works, shows up every day, never complains, and never quits. He does the things nobody wants to do, and he’s learned that sometimes you don’t have to be the loudest in the room, you just have to keep showing up and doing what it takes to win.

Today, he finally earned a reward for all that hard work. And I have a feeling he’s going to have some BIG decisions to make after this season because I’m believing big things are ahead for him.

He’s tough, coachable, has a great attitude, stays out of trouble, and gives everything he has every time he steps on the court.

Recruiting is tough, and separating yourself takes an incredible amount of work. He misses out on a lot of normal teenage things because he’s chasing a bigger goal, and I couldn’t be more proud of him for it.

Now y’all better watch this Catoosa Basketball team this year. This team is FILLED with talent. 🏀

For a girl who battled some pretty loud internal voices for a very long time, changing the way I talked to myself became one of the most important things I’ve ever done.

I didn’t plant all of those negative thoughts. Some were put there by other people, circumstances, and years of believing things about myself that simply weren’t true. But eventually, I realized it was MY responsibility to challenge them and decide what I was going to believe about myself moving forward.

Four years ago, I made some necessary changes in my life. And let me tell you… healing has NOT been a straight line. It’s been an up-and-down battle, but I refused to give up on myself.

After working out on my own for years, I finally realized I needed a little more discipline and accountability. So I found Haylee and Mashawn at Fitness Sanctuary.

Mashawn will tell you I whine EVERY SINGLE TIME I show up. 😂 No joke. I loathe working out.

I’m 45. At this point, I’d much rather throw in the towel, eat cheesecake and drink Diet Dr Pepper every day.

But then I remember the woman I used to be.

I didn’t love who I was back then.

I let people take advantage of my kindness. I allowed WAY too much drama into my life. I spent years in silence, and when I finally found my voice again, I had plenty of people who had something to say about it.

So I found a therapist.

I started pouring into myself instead of everyone else.

I learned boundaries.

And eventually, I realized I really don’t care about the voices in my head belonging to people I don’t even care about anymore.

And now here I am.

Little ol’ me.

Strong. Confident. Healing. Still working on myself. Still whining at the gym. 😂

But absolutely NOT concerned with being the version of myself that other people are comfortable with.

If you’re struggling with those internal voices, please hear me when I say this:

Get the therapist.
Get the trainer.
Set the boundaries.
Choose yourself.

You’ll thank yourself later.

Cameron walked in the house today and saw my leftover “Chantilly Cake” sitting in the fridge.

He looks at me and says, “Mom, why did you make Pavlova?” 🤣

I’m like… excuse me?! Where on Earth did you learn about Pavlova?!

He goes, “Bluey. What do you mean?”

THIS KID.

Autism never ceases to amaze me. He has one of the largest vocabularies I’ve ever experienced in a child with a communication disability, and somehow he is also one of the funniest people I know.

You just never know what’s going to come out of his mouth. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Anyway… here’s my “Pavlova.” I mean, Chantilly Cake. 😂

Awe shucks. Dolly really was what every American should strive to be. She was a gem 💔sad to see such an icon go.

I have SO many people reach out and say, “Oh my gosh, I forgot the cake!”😱And while I always do my best to accommodate last-minute orders, sometimes waiting means we have to make changes to your original vision.

I know what I do well, and what I DON’T! 😂 Sometimes I need to order specific toppers, decorations, or other details from Etsy or another vendor, and those things take time to arrive.

The sooner you book, the better! It gives me time to get all the little details and make your cake exactly how you want it.

Because let’s be honest… the cake is usually RIGHT in the middle of those celebration photos! 📸🎂
