Matt Walsh is calling the White House’s “Lake America” rename dumb.

He says “Ontario” is an older Indigenous/North American name that predates the Canadian province, so the stunt treats Canada as if it owned a name that wasn’t theirs.

He also argues it gives Democrats an easy midterm attack: that Republicans are doing trolling instead of focusing on everyday Americans.
