Starting September 3rd we are launching Stinson Story Time, a free monthly gathering happening on the first Thursday of every month at 10:30 AM right here at the bakery. Every child in attendance will receive a complimentary half-size Gluten-Friendly Chocolate Chip Cookie on us. Matthew and Anna Claire Stinson will be kicking things off by reading The Bakery Dragon!

Bring the kids, grab a coffee, and enjoy a little community in the middle of your week. We can't wait to see you there! 🫶

Happy National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day! 🍪 🍫

FUN FACT ‼️ Back when the Stinsons had just moved to Opelika, they would often bring a loaf of bread to share when meeting up with friends. One of those friends had a gluten intolerance and couldn't take part in the bread, so Anna Claire developed our gluten-friendly chocolate chip cookie recipe for their friend to enjoy. Turns out, they were so good that they were the first thing gone at every gathering!

Fast forward to today and they are still one of our most beloved staples. Come grab one today as the perfect sweet treat!

Hey Neighbor! Matthew here. After seven years and three kitchens, we're building a new bakery!

We are officially moving around the corner to 715 1st Avenue. Our current shop is 1,000 square feet. The new one is 4,000.

What does that actually mean? Right now we bake 24 loaves and 30 dozen pastries an hour. In the new space we'll be capable of 200 loaves and 90 dozen. It also means indoor seating, a public restroom with a changing table, an expanded menu, a real beverage program, bigger classes, and finally being able to make all the things our wholesale partners have been asking us for.

Here's the part that matters most to us: this move is about our team. A bigger bakery means better equipment, more breathing room, and real opportunities for our staff to grow into roles that simply aren't possible in 1,000 square feet. We've always said that if the best thing about our business is the bread, we've failed.

We're hoping to be in by the end of the year, and we'll bring you along for every step of it.
