Meet the family behind The Crunchery - The Borg Family!

What started as a freeze dryer for personal use turned into a little local business we never really saw coming.

One successful fundraiser led to a “we should try this!” moment, and a whole lot of bagging, labeling, testing, and restocking later… here we are.

We make freeze-dried fruits, veggies, and the occasional sweet treat — simple snacks with a big crunch.

Not every snack gets to see the Grand Canyon.

Or Bryce Canyon.

These Crunchery favorites tagged along on a family National Park adventure and came home with some pretty incredible views. 🏔️

One more reason we love freeze-dried snacks:
✔ Lightweight
✔ Easy to pack
✔ No spoilage
✔ Ready whenever hunger strikes on the trail

Not bad for a couple bags of Apples and Elote Corn Crunchies.

🍍Our pineapple disappears FAST 🍍

We’ve experimented with a few ways of making it, and this method has been our favorite by far.

Puréeing it and pouring it into molds gives it that light, crunchy texture that basically melts in your mouth.

Now into the freezer they go before heading to the freeze dryer… and then back to the shelves!
