🥑 Cinco de Mayo = guacamole… but the best batches always have a secret ingredient.

And no, it’s not lime or garlic.

It’s the experience behind it.

I’ve been working with a multi-generation Santa Paula farm to turn heirloom avocados into something more than a product; a monthly subscription box people get excited to open.

“It’s a box of joy,” as Alice puts it.

Every detail is intentional:
• seasonal recipes (yes, all things avocado 🥑)
• custom-designed postcards for inside the box
• storytelling rooted in Ventura County agriculture
• packaging that feels exciting, not ordinary
• member-only farm experiences and curated events

Because when someone opens this box, it should feel like more than produce.
It should feel like a brand.

And every part of that experience is intentionally connected back to one place- the website!

The postcards don’t just live in the box. They send people somewhere.
The recipes, the storytelling, the seasonal content...it all expands there.

🌿💻 Kiddie College's NEW WEBSITE is officially live! 🌿💻

This was a full Wix website redesign and brand refresh focused on one thing: helping the right families actually find Kiddie College, and immediately understand what makes it different.

As a Ventura website designer, this project combined intentional copywriting, SEO strategy, AI visibility and a paired brand update to reflect the evolution of their preschool.

We redesigned their Wix website with:
• hand-drawn, organic design elements that reflect their playful brand
• a softer, muted color palette that allows colorful classroom photography to lead, not compete
• clear, strategic messaging for parents searching for a Ventura preschool -balancing emotion with the key details they need, without having to dig for them

One of the most important messaging priorities was their intentionally low student-to-teacher ratios and small class sizes, something that sets their care and classroom experience apart. We made sure that came through clearly and consistently across the entire site.

Behind the scenes, we also focused heavily on SEO and AI visibility.

Before the site even launched, their online rankings began dramatically improving, helping more local families discover Kiddie College when searching for a Ventura preschool.

That’s the goal.

Not just a beautiful website. A website that actually works.

As a mom who has had my son at Kiddie College, I can personally say this is a play-based preschool in Ventura worth exploring 💛

Big things happening over at Kiddie College 💛🌿

We had the chance to reimagine their brand to reflect what this preschool has truly grown into… a thoughtful, play-based space where kids get to be curious, creative, and a little wild in the best way.

So we leaned all the way in.

We hand-drew their new “outdoor friends” ( 🐝 bee and snail 🐌), surrounded by loose, organic wildflowers that feel a little imperfect on purpose. The kind of art that feels like childhood, coloring outside the lines included.

Then we pulled in real details from their space… including the actual trim color from the school… and built a full brand that feels connected, warm, and instantly recognizable.

These little characters aren’t just cute.

They help Kiddie College stand out, feel memorable, and build trust with families before they even step through the door.

This one felt really special to bring to life ✨

And if you’re looking for a Ventura preschool, Kiddie College is one worth exploring. I’ve had the privilege of experiencing the care and consistency there firsthand with my son, and it’s clear why families stay for years.

First things first - I really love what I do, especially when I get to connect with a client on a deeper level (after all, it’s where my “your business best friend” tagline came from).

Tomorrow, I’ll be enjoying a facial with Desiree at Deseo Skin, and I’m genuinely proud of everything she’s built during her studio move into Midtown Ventura.

With that move came the need for a refreshed brand identity, one that better reflects the level of care, intention, and experience her clients already know her for.

For this project, we focused on creating a brand that feels calm, grounded, and aligned with her in-person experience.

We built a brand inspired by Roaring 20s elegance and the peacock as a symbol of beauty and confidence, balancing luxury details with a modern feel that reflects the experience inside her studio.

“Kari did an amazing job with our new branding! She was extremely patient, knowledgeable, and very flexible as we went through the process of reviewing and finalizing our concepts. We could not recommend her enough!”

✨ Welcome Deseo Skin to Midtown Ventura! ✨

Desiree came to us with a clear vision for her new brand - Peacocks, Roaring 20s Hollywood glam, and a speakeasy energy that feels bold, expressive, and intentional.

We translated that direction into a custom brand identity rooted in Art Deco influence, hand-drawn detailing, and natural textures pulled from her interior design.

At the center is the peacock.

A symbol of confidence, presence, and full expression - designed to reflect how clients are meant to feel when they walk into Deseo Skin.

The result is a brand that feels luxurious, personalized, and alive - where wellness meets vintage glamour.

And soon, that experience extends to the street with a hand-painted gold leaf window by Signs by Nat ✨

Heather came to us with a booming dog training business, but a just-“okay” templated site that blended in with everyone else. She wanted her brand to have personality, show her community that she’s trusted, professional, and a total dog lover, -and most importantly- stand out in a sea of copycat, templated sites.

Today we received a package from Wix welcoming us into the Wix Studio League, and officially recognizing Kinship Creative as a Legend-level designer for 2025!

That status isn’t about aesthetics.
It’s based on the number of high-quality websites we. designed and developed on the platform, and meeting rigorous performance standards along the way.

On top of that, after extensive requirements, hands-on assessments, and qualifications, we also earned the Wix Certified Website Designer status!
