Sorry for the late notice, I just got home last night! My vacation was lovely but I'm glad to be back in the Bay with my beloved Pickle, garden, and fog -- and especially to bake for you! I will have a loaf of this bread for every subscriber, Staples and Specials, this Friday. This week's will be Smoked Salt Rye! This sourdough loaf will be a bit savory with Abruzzi rye flour from and applewood smoked sea salt from . If you're not already signed up and want a loaf, let me know by Thursday!

For dessert this week, we'll have the last of the Summer Fruit Galettes made with some beautiful plums! Let me know if you'd like to add a slice to your bread order ❤️

Did you know that summer is seaweed season? I've been combing the coast every chance I get to scoop up as much kombu, nori, grapestone, bladderwrack, and rainbow seaweed as I can get my hands on (and also have time & space to process), so that I can make delicious savory briny SPICY SEAWEED SOURDOUGH for all of you! Combined with sesame seeds, chili crisp, and gochugaru chili flakes, and decorated with a flame motif inspired by east asian art, this umami-bomb is a celebration of summer heat that will make you want to dive into the frigid Pacific.

If you have not set up a subscription and want to get your hot little hands on one of these, dm me to reserve a spot in this Friday's bake!

For dessert this week, Summer Fruit Galettes with peaches will be available whole or by the slice, or in mini vegan versions. I'm only doing these for a couple more weeks probably, so get em while you can!

this week will be a FOCACCIA FRIDAY! Time to grab some of those enticing early girl tomatoes from the market (and a burrata if ya nasty) to douse in good olive oil and devour shamelessly, soaking up the juices with some crispy, herby sourdough focaccia. Or, spread some sauce and cheese on top and call it a pizza! If you have not set up a bread subscription and want to grab one of these, let me know by Wednesday and I'll put you on the list!

For dessert this week our Summer Fruit Galettes will most likely be yellow peaches and nectarines, but we'll see what the farmers have in store for us! Let me know if you'd like a whole tart, vegan individual galette, or just a slice :)

This week we head into July, and our Staple bread is Honey Oat Whole Wheat! By the way, the toasted oat porridge that goes into this bread is now comprised entirely of locally grown "Streaker" oats from ! If you want to grab one of these babies this Friday, send me a message by Wednesday ❤️

With summer in full swing, the gorgeous stone fruits are still going strong and begging to be wrapped in a crunchy cornmeal crust. Flavor Supreme Pluots will be gracing our galettes again this week! Slices are $7 each, whole tarts are $35, and vegan individual (but you could share one if you're feeling generous) galettes are $12. Order now if you want one for a weekend celebration of some kind, maybe manifesting the downfall of an empire? 🇺🇸

Sorry for the late notice, but I just got back from a whirlwind few days in Yosemite with my family! Thankfully, neither I nor any of my cousins got eaten by a bear or fell off the face of Half Dome, and I come to you inspired to bake this week's bread - Alpine Rye! This light rye-wheat blend is infused with toasted coriander and caraway, and pairs beautifully with a grassy, buttery mountain cheese like the Emmentaler I have waiting for me in my fridge. If you would like to order this loaf, please dm me AS SOON AS POSSIBLE and I might be able to squeeze you in tomorrow!

Summer fruit galettes are also back this week with some gorgeous golden apricots! Their season won't last much longer so I wanted to make sure we got a batch into some galette crusts before the days start getting shorter again. Snag a slice for seven bucks or get a whole galette for your Summer Solstice celebration! 🌞
