The Yummy Crumbs Gals Team enjoys baking —� everything and it is especially enjoyable to bake for others. We are members of the Mountain Fresh Farmer Market in Oakland, MD and are there from 10:00-1:00 everyday Saturday from June-October and most Wednesday’s. In addition to baking our Breads, Cookies, Pies, and Cakes, we host Teas throughout the year.

Good afternoon. I hope everyone is enjoying this weather. Just a word about my schedule. I had decided a year ago that this season would likely my last at the Market. I intended to continue doing special orders and Teas after that. Then the kerfuffle about my Teas caused me to accelerate my “retirement “ plans. But quitting cold turkey is complicated.

I will be at the Market on Saturday,June 20 and Saturday, July 4. I hope to be there Saturday, July 18 as well as 2 dates in August.

I will be at the Art and Wine Festival on September 12 and at the Autumn Glory Festival on Friday and Saturday, October 9-10 at the Fairgrounds . I’ll remind you of each of those as we get closer

Rookie mistake! I used 75 pounds of flour in 3 Days and now I’m out. I measured to see how much I have - enough for 16 loaves of Fococcia (4 less than I usually make) and a single batch of scones. So I will only have orange cranberry and no maple. Also i will not be making breakfast rolls or blueberry muffins. Very sorry! I’ll do better next week.

Good Morning!

Today is cookie-baking day so I’m heading downstairs to my “ Yummy Crumb Kitchen” to make cookie magic. I believe I’ll have the regular packages of 6 cookies as well as packages of 2. Yesterday was biscotti day and we made Cranstachio (of course!) and glazed butter pecan. Tomorrow is breakfast roll, dinner roll, muffin, bread, and cake day. As you all know by now, Saturday am is scone, Foccocia and croissant morning. I’m a bake shop baker without a shop and I cannot resist offering a variety!

I offer this timetable so you can see when I need to know any reserved orders. I bake the amount I know you typically want, so if you want to make sure I have enough - let me know. Orders are always appreciated.

Here is my updated planned menu for Saturdays Market.

🌻English Muffin Bread - Classic, orange cranberry, cheesy, maple pecan and possibly cinnamon raisin.
🌻Cinnamon Swirl OR white sandwich bread - preference?
🌻Honey of a Whole Wheat
🌻Sourdough
🌻Foccocia- Rosemary Basil, Olive, Onion and Italian Herb
🌻Croissants and Chocolate Croissants
🌻Breakfast Rolls - Lemon-blueberry and almond raspberry
🌻Scones - Orange Cranberry and Maple
🌻Biscotti- Chocolate Lovers Chocolate Chip, Oatmeal Cranberry, Oatmeal Raisin, Molasses, Peanut Butter and White Chocolate Macademia

Time permitting, I plan to bring a cake or two. If you have a flavor preference -please let me know soon.

I had forgotten how delicious Classic English scones are until I made them this morning. Of course I scrape a nice sized vanilla bean in the cream. . I made them for tomorrow’s special order and I will have an extra pack with me if you’d like it. Also an extra loaf of classic English Muffin bread. I’ll be back at the Market on June 20 with all the goodies

I made extra croissants dough for tomorrow. If rolling them all out takes i too long to roll them out in the am, I may not be able to make scones . Cross your fingers . They rise for 2 hours b4 baking which is usually when I make scones. We’ll see.
