Finally have time to get some posts out from our trip the the RCOA world championship. Went just to compete in Ribs and Chicken, but was pushed by two Steak cookoff world champions, and to cook the steak comp on Friday and man, did it pay off! I have to thank Ken Perkins for showing me the ropes. Ken is a great, passionate teacher and made this look easy. Also thank Don Peterson for letting borrow his PK grill for this event.

Overall, we placed 10th out of 101 cooks for our first Steak comp!

We're all setup at the RCOA World Champions and the first night is in the books.

So, we had fun day at Porkmania 2026 yesterday and managed to place in baby back ribs. We also got to cook in our new food trailer and man is it nice!

2nd in babybacks out of 38 teams
14th in St louis ribs out of 44 teams

Congrats to Robert Meyer on his first place call! This guy is on fire! Congrats to all who got a call.
