The start of my craft room...sewing table and design wall. I should hopefully have the fabric cabinet moved this weekend and everything sorted and organized. Then I can finish working on my daughter's table runners and other goodies.

OK, all the blocks are done for Jayme's quilt (or should I say Bella's quilt). Just have to piece them together, then quilt it. Should have it done by the end of next week (should, not a promise). Probably won't get to work on it too much today. Have to make 2 birthday cakes, go to my daughter's musical, then to my grandma's for her birthday party. Busy, busy, busy...

I can't believe I wrapped the quilt and didn't get any pictures. What the hell was I thinking? I guess I will have to get them after it gets opened.

Okay...fusible batting sounded like a good idea. It was a bigger pain in the ass than it was worth. I will stick to regular batting and spray adhesive instead.

So, I finally got around to making myself a quilt. I really didn't have a pattern, just sketched out something. It is all squares and rectangles. It is done in greens, blues/teals, and browns primarily in damasks and florals. There's a few stripes thrown in too. I had bought all of this fabric (not really knowing what I would make with it) a while ago. Then, for Christmas I received a new comforter set, and it was green, brown and blue blocks. That's when I knew I had to make a throw quilt to match. The binding is made up of 10 different fabrics in the same color scheme. I had bought those a while ago too when I made myself a set of potholders. I quilted inside each block. After I started quilting it I realized it was overly ambitious, but was too late. It took me a little while to get the quilting done because it was hard to turn the quilt under the arm of the machine. But...I got it done.
