We are incredibly honored to have earned 2nd Place in the 2026 Vegan Chef Challenge! 🥈🌱
First and foremost, THANK YOU to everyone who came out, tried our vegan creations, and took the time to vote. Your support means the world to us.
What started as a challenge has become something much bigger for Uptown Hog. Because of last year's Vegan Chef Challenge, we added two vegan items to our regular menu that are still available today. This year, thanks to the overwhelming response and encouragement from our customers, we're adding another one!
Our year-round vegan menu will now include:
🌱 BBQ Jackfruit Sandwich
🌱 Jackfruit Mac & Cheese made with our homemade cashew cheese sauce
🌱 Jackfruit Melt
One of the most rewarding parts of this challenge has been hearing from vegan guests and those with Alpha-gal Syndrome who finally found BBQ options they could enjoy alongside their friends and family.
Congratulations to MO Slider Company on their 1st Place finish and Not'cho Ordinary Taco on their 3rd Place finish. It's also pretty incredible that all three of this year's top competitors call the same building home. We're honored to be housed under the same roof at 14 Mill market alongside such talented restaurants, and we're proud to be part of a food hall that continues to showcase some of the best food Springfield has to offer.
Thank you again, Springfield, for supporting local restaurants and for giving our vegan BBQ a chance. We can't wait to keep creating new options for everyone who walks through our doors.
